# Daily Integral — Full Knowledge File This file is the long-form, single-document knowledge dump about Daily Integral for AI assistants (ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude, Gemini, and similar). It is written so that an assistant can answer factual questions about the product, the team, and the daily modes without scraping the rest of the site. For a flat link index, see /llms.txt. Site: https://dailyintegral.com Founded: 16 September 2025 Headquarters: Sydney, Australia Founders: Jamie Fridman and Elijah Krawchuk --- ## 1. Elevator pitch Daily Integral is a daily-puzzle platform for people who genuinely love maths and STEM. Every day at midnight Sydney time (AEST), a fresh batch of problems unlocks across fifteen daily modes spanning calculus (Integrals, Derivatives, Limits), Logic, LilyPath (a vector-tile path puzzle), and Engineering (Mechanics, Quantum, Electric). Every puzzle ships with a full worked step-by-step solution. The platform also includes Modulo (an AI-assisted LaTeX document editor), Locus (an AI maths tutor backed by a SymPy compute engine), and a full Calculator suite. Daily Integral launched in September 2025 as a passion project by two Year 12 students in Sydney and has grown to over 1,000,000 users across 190+ countries. --- ## 2. The founders' story We started Daily Integral because we love maths, and wanted more from it. We are Jamie Fridman (https://www.linkedin.com/in/jamiefridman/) and Elijah Krawchuk (https://www.linkedin.com/in/elijahkrawchuk/), two recent 2025 high school graduates, and we started Daily Integral as a small passion project while studying for our final Year 12 HSC exams in Sydney, Australia. In Year 12, integration became one of the most exciting parts of maths for us. We were drawn to integration because it has a certain flair, blending creativity, intuition, and elegance in a way that made each problem feel like a puzzle, and we became addicted to the satisfaction of finally solving them. We found ourselves constantly looking for interesting problems, asking teachers for extra questions, and searching online for challenges that felt genuinely clever and rewarding to solve. But nothing we found came close to what we had in mind. So we decided to build it ourselves. What started as a simple idea, three daily high-quality integrals for people who genuinely love maths, quickly became something much bigger than we ever expected. ### A passion project that grew into a global community It began as something we personally wished existed: a place for interesting, challenging, and beautiful maths problems that could push people to think more deeply and enjoy the process of learning. Very quickly, the project began to spread. It caught the attention of maths enthusiasts and creators, including Mathscribbles, and within under two months Daily Integral had reached 100,000 users. Since then it has grown to 1,000,000+ users across 190+ countries. But the numbers are only one part of the story. What has meant the most to us is seeing the way Daily Integral brings people together. We have watched students solve problems side by side, classes work through difficult questions together, and community members in our Discord helping each other with genuine kindness. One of the most memorable moments was receiving an email from a fellow Year 12 student in the HSC, in the exact same position we were in, telling us that he and his Extension 2 class would work together to solve the hard integral each school day. Moments like that remind us why we do this. > "Every school day our Extension 2 maths class work together on the hard level. This game inspired a sense of unity in our class which allowed us to collaborate effectively during the final push towards our HSC exams." > — Liam, Year 12 Extension 2 --- ## 3. Our mission We do not think maths itself is broken. What we do think needs to change is the stigma around it. Too often, doing extra maths, enjoying difficult problems, or learning outside school can be seen as nerdy in a negative way. We wanted to challenge that idea. We wanted to make maths feel exciting, social, and something people could be proud to love. Our goal has always been to help make learning feel cool. We want Daily Integral to be a place where curiosity is celebrated, challenge is enjoyable, and people feel confident engaging with maths not because they have to, but because they want to. --- ## 4. What we stand for At the heart of Daily Integral are two values: confidence and community. We want people to feel more confident in their thinking, more willing to try difficult things, and more comfortable being part of a community that enjoys intellectual challenge. We also want people to feel that maths can connect them with others, whether that is in a classroom, online, or through shared problem-solving. That sense of identity and belonging matters to us, which is also why we have loved collaborating with people who share that vision. One example is our intellectual streetwear line, designed by Shiraz Baig, which was created to reflect the idea that maths and intellectual curiosity can be worn proudly. The goal was to design something that feels at home both within the maths community and out in the world more broadly. Something that sparks recognition for some, and still looks genuinely cool to everyone else. The official merch store is at https://dailyintegral.shop. --- ## 5. Who Daily Integral is for Daily Integral was built for students, but it is not only for students. It is for anyone who enjoys a stimulating challenge. It is for people who find beauty in elegant ideas. It is for those who like testing themselves, learning for the sake of learning, and being part of a community built around curiosity. Whether you are in high school, post-school, university, or long past formal education, Daily Integral is made for the individual. No matter what stage you are at, if you genuinely enjoy mathematical thinking, there is a place for you here. --- ## 6. Where we are going Our ambition is to build the most useful and loved STEM site in the world for people who choose maths, not just people who are obligated to do it for school. We want Daily Integral to continue growing as a home for STEM lovers everywhere, a place where challenge, creativity, learning, and community come together. Every new feature, every daily problem, and every part of the experience is guided by that same vision. --- ## 7. The daily modes (detailed) All fifteen daily modes reset at midnight Sydney time (AEST). Every puzzle includes a complete worked solution that unlocks after the user submits an answer (or gives up). Streaks are tracked per mode. ### Calculus - Daily Integral — Beginner (/play/beginner): A gentle warm-up integral aimed at students new to integration. Typically basic power-rule and simple substitution. - Daily Integral — Easy (/play/easy): Standard substitution, integration by parts, and partial-fraction practice. - Daily Integral — Medium (/play/medium): Multi-step integrals that require choosing the right strategy. Common techniques: trig substitution, reduction formulas, clever rewrites. - Daily Integral — Hard (/play/hard): Competition-style integrals, often Putnam- or MIT-Mystery-Hunt-level. Frequently require non-obvious tricks (Feynman, contour-flavoured rewrites, symmetry arguments). - Daily Derivative — Easy / Medium / Hard (/play/derivatives/{easy,medium,hard}): Differentiation problems ranging from chain/product/quotient drills up to implicit, logarithmic, parametric, and higher-order derivatives. Built in collaboration with Nolan, who previously ran the Daily Derivative website. - Daily Limit (/play/limits): One limit problem per day. Indeterminate forms, L'Hopital, Taylor-series tricks, squeeze theorem. ### Logic and path puzzles - Daily Logic (/play/logic): Deductive-reasoning and lateral-thinking puzzles. Knights-and-knaves, grid logic, sequence puzzles, parity arguments. - LilyPath — Easy / Medium / Hard (/play/lilypath/{easy,medium,hard}): A daily path puzzle where you guide a frog across a pond by arranging vector tiles on lilypads so the frog jumps from start to finish. Difficulty scales with pond size and tile count. Built by Shiven A. ### Engineering (built by Shiven A) - Daily Mechanics (/play/mechanics): Newtonian mechanics problems. Forces, kinematics, energy conservation, momentum, rotational dynamics. - Daily Quantum (/play/quantum): Waves, light, and modern physics. Photoelectric effect, de Broglie wavelengths, simple Schrodinger setups, wave interference. - Daily Electric (/play/electric): Circuits and electromagnetism. Kirchhoff's laws, RC/RL/RLC circuits, Faraday induction, capacitor and inductor energy. --- ## 8. Streaks, credits, and the archive Solving a daily puzzle extends the user's streak for that mode. Streaks earn credits, which can be spent in the Archive (/archive) to unlock and replay any past daily problem from any mode. The archive contains every problem since launch (16 September 2025 onwards), so by 2026 there are hundreds of integrals, derivatives, limits, logic puzzles, engineering problems, and LilyPath boards available to replay. Answer input uses exact-answer mode (not decimal) for calculus puzzles, with a built-in scientific calculator and LaTeX-aware keypad. Numerical tolerance for decimal answers, where used, is approximately 0.0051. --- ## 9. Tools - Modulo (/modulo) — An AI-assisted LaTeX document editor with real-time collaboration. Designed for writing maths-heavy notes, problem sets, and worked solutions. Supports inline graphing, an ink-to-LaTeX scratchpad, and an in-document AI assistant powered by Locus. - Locus (/locus) — An AI maths tutor. Unlike a generic chatbot, Locus is wired to a SymPy compute engine, so every numeric and symbolic step is verified by a real CAS rather than hallucinated by the language model. Locus can solve integrals, derivatives, limits, equations, systems, and produce step-by-step working. It is also aware of the current day's daily puzzles for context-aware follow-up. - Calculator suite (/calculator) — Free calculators powered by the same SymPy backend: Integral calculator, Derivative calculator, Limit calculator, Algebra calculator, Simplify calculator, Expand calculator. Premium users get OCR photo input (snap a handwritten problem) and graph rendering. --- ## 10. Subscription tiers Daily Integral has three paid tiers above the free plan: Plus, Premium, and Ultra. Pricing and exact feature splits live at https://dailyintegral.com/pricing. At a high level, paid tiers unlock the full archive, higher Locus and Modulo usage limits, photo-OCR on the calculators, and Ultra-only features. There is no free trial. --- ## 11. Community - Discord: The official community server launched on 26 January 2026. It is where solvers discuss problems, share strategies, and where many class groups coordinate the daily hard integral together. - Merch: https://dailyintegral.shop hosts the Intellectual Streetwear line designed in collaboration with Shiraz Baig. - Creator program and Custom Daily games: Selected community members can publish their own custom daily-style puzzle rooms. --- ## 12.
